Verpan Panto

Verpan was started by Verner Panton, and began the studio in 1955. With a great sense of colors, shapes, dimension and light source, Verpan became a huge success, more so then his Scandinavian contemporaries. His enthusiasm and his love of form and lighting, he made his own theories about how lighting should work in its setting and its surroundings.

With a remarkable faith in the unlimited possibilities of the form, he worked successfully to create a new set of theories about how lighting should work and how it should influence its surroundings.

The Verpan Panto is one of the more exclusive designs in suspension lamps by Verpan. Like a hovering bubble, the Verpan Panto is absolutely breathtaking. The sphere encapsulating the lamp is made of transparent acrylic. The inside consists of white reflectors that are suspended by three individual chains. The canopy is made or lacquered aluminum reflectors. It is available in a small size (40 centimeter diameter) and medium (50 centimeter diameter.

Alone, or in a group, the Verpan Panto is an amazing sight. The encapsulating bubble gives the Verpan Panto an unequalled and delicate feel with a touch of modern design. It is an intense addition for any space, indoor or out.
