Tunto L 120 - 1440 mm - Black Stained Oak Pendant

The Tunto L 120 Pendant is a linear luminaire from Tunto's advanced-optics range, designed by Mikko Kärkkäinen and made in Finland. This 1440 mm version is built from solid oak stained black and lacquered, for a graphic profile that still reads as wood, so every piece carries its own figure. Its slim profile suits long dining tables, meeting rooms and kitchen islands, where a single run of light does more than a cluster of fittings.

Light output is direct / indirect, giving both a working pool of light below and a soft wash above so the ceiling never goes dark. You choose the colour temperature — 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K — and the optic — microprism, honeycomb or lenses — which together set how focused and how glare-free the light is. Colour rendering is Ra 93 across every combination, so materials and skin tones stay true.

Control is your choice of DALI – Push Dim or Casambi (Bluetooth). Both dim continuously, and the two-wire system means only active and neutral are needed at the ceiling outlet — no separate control cabling. Casambi adds wireless control from a phone, tablet or the Tunto EnOcean switch.

Measuring 1440 x 40 x 120 mm and weighing 5.90 kg, it draws 2 x 24 W. It hangs from 2 m suspension cables with a 3 m power cable, both shortenable on installation, and comes with a white ceiling cup (430 x 110 x 35 mm). Rated IP20 for indoor use, Class II, with a 2 year warranty. Assembly is required and installation should be done by a qualified electrician.

Which optic should I choose?
Microprism — diffuses the light for the softest, lowest-glare result; the usual choice above desks and workstations.
Honeycomb — shields the LED so the fitting reads dark from normal viewing angles, with tighter beam control; suits open-plan offices and hospitality.
Lenses — the most directional option, giving crisp, focused light; ideal over dining tables and kitchen islands.
