Marset Ginger 20x3 Suspension Lamp

The Ginger lamp collection, designed by Joan Gaspar for the Marset lighting brand, offers a unique design. Some may see in this lamp a tribute to Art Deco, a flourishing movement in the 1920s and 1930s. Contrary to what one might think, the Ginger was only designed in 2014. With its round shape and subtle light, it pays a beautiful tribute to this popular style.

The Ginger stands out with its wooden lampshade. Wood is generally a difficult material to shape and is therefore not often used in lighting. However, Joan Gaspar succeeded in creating the perfect lampshade by combining wood sheets, paper, resin, and a high-pressure press. The slight inclination of the lampshade allows for discreet and indirect light diffusion. The lampshades are available in two different veneer types: oak and wenge.

Although the design of these lamps may seem retro, their technology is anything but outdated. Thanks to modern LED technology, these lamps are very energy-efficient. Moreover, they are also dimmable, which greatly enhances their user-friendliness. The Ginger is a warm lamp that attracts attention without being intrusive.
