As an automotive engineer, George Carwardine stumbled upon a new formula for a spring prototype never used before. He created the blueprint for a pioneering articulated task lamp that would combine ultimate tractability with faultless stability. Two years later, the Original 1227 was launched.

With heritage inspired colors, a woven cable and authentic brass details the new aesthetic for this iconic Anglepoise design was created. With the size in between the Original Brass Pendant, and the Maxi Pendant, the Anglepoise Original 1227 Midi Pendant is just the right size.
